TWGT 12 Myths of that Could Wreck your Golf Game!

"Customized Golf Clubs" and Golf Club Fittings both go hand-in-hand with teaching the game of golf and consists of building a complete set of golf clubs from the ground up, after a golfer has been fitted.

The golf club specifications, such as length, shaft flex and bend point, loft, lie, grip size, and optimum launch angle are determined during our one-on-one, personal golf club fitting process.

Everyone should have a set of clubs that fit his or her unique individual golfing needs, due to differences in body size, weight, and height. A golf club which is not correctly fitted to your body's unique specifications can lead to more off-center and off-line golf shots. (Do Not Buy a suit off the rack, always have the suit or golf club "Taylor Made" for a perfect fit!)

Throughout the Years, I have been Certified in Golf Club Fittings by attending several fitting classes and golf seminars with various golf companies, such as Slazenger Golf, Mizuno Golf, Taylor Made Golf, and Dimension-Z.

All of these companies have different steps in the fitting process, but ultimately reach the goal of correctly fitting each golfer for a set of clubs.

I will always remember a quote from a golf instructor named Gary Blaisdell: "When fitting a golfer, it may be necessary to include the teaching of golf." (Slazenger Fitting Seminar, 1998)

Currently, I am using FSMatching Software to help customize your golf clubs. This golf custom-fitting software was developed and enhanced by friend and Software Developer Mr. Chuck Silco Jr.

Some specific golf fitting books that have been a great asset to my success as a custom golf club fitter are:

1. Tom Wishon's "Practical Clubfitting Program"(* 1996 - no longer in print.)

2. Ralph Maltby's "Golf Club Design, Fitting, Alteration and Repair" The Principles and Procedures. 4th Edition .

3. Tom Wishon's "The Search for the Perfect Golf Club" : Do NOT buy another club without reading this book! Available through his website: www.wishongolf.com.Call For Pricing Information.

A fitting usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour. The cost is incorporated into a custom-built set of clubs . (If you purchase a driver or full set of irons the Fitting Fee is waived!) Technology has enhanced this process from a "recommended evaluation" to an additional support base with vector launch units and swing speed analyzers.
